Cloud Creations Integrates Variety for Technicolor

LOS ANGELES, CA – Mar 12, 2018 – Founded in 1915 and headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, Technicolor is a worldwide technology leader in the media and entertainment sector, and is at the forefront of continuous digital innovation. Their world class research and innovation laboratories enable them to lead the market in delivering advanced video services to content creators and distributors. They also benefit from an extensive intellectual property portfolio focused on imaging technologies.

Technicolor were seeking a platform upgrade that would allow them the ability to integrate a variety of website and web-service platforms into their Salesforce. They also sought a way to improve how they used Salesforce to pull leads.

Cloud Creations helped Technicolor to address their lead campaigns by developing a Custom Object for them in Salesforce labeled “Variety Insights.” The Variety Insights custom object had the multifunctional ability to direct leads into one of two data collection platforms. Existing leads went straight into a native object, Opportunity; while new leads went into the custom object “Variety Insights.” Both leads were then directed into Salesforce. Cloud Creations also developed an “Update Record” custom object. When information is input into a Salesforce field page and the “Update Record” object is selected the information that was input into the Salesforce field is then saved into the opportunity/lead in Salesforce.

Visualforce development was also integrated into the Technicolor project as well. HD duplication and format conversion, file creation, and stock and media files were configured to be recreated into VFP files in Technicolor’s Visualforce platform. VFP is an object-oriented programming environment with a built-in relational database engine. With this platform Technicolor desire to utilize data for both distinctive and multifunctional purposes was accomplished. For example, the VFP platform appropriates software tools together for improved organization of tasks like database tables, data queries, end-user applications, etc. The VFP platform also offers productivity tools and features designed to enhance and simplify the process of developing, maintaining and reusing code. So, with VFP activities can also be docked to applications with the ability to save system properties and custom user interface settings for later use.

With Cloud Creations assistance, Technicolor gained the platform that they needed to improve lead-data tracking management, and multi-web-service based platform integrations for improved file creations.
